Pre Chanukah Toy Closet and Book Shleves Organization

The Divine Strategy
Pre Chanuka is the time to get your toy closets and bookshelves organized!!
Among the most frustrating things to Organize are those items that are frequently used, while those making the mess are not motivated to clean it up.
Here are some tips:
Those little people in your life that occupy a lot of space in your heart (and the big ones) make it difficult for you to be strict, as you feel guilty they might lose out. For example, if you have threatened "If you don't clean up I am going to throw all these toys out" you may be very motivated to act on your threats, yet there is a place in your heart that knows how much they enjoy their toys (and at the same time it keeps them occupied and you have no desire to go out and buy more) forcing you to keep cleaning up the mess. I would like you to ask yourself if, in fact, you are the culprit behind your own frustration? By quickly scanning the toy closet, and bookshelves you will notice there are many toys and books you know are missing pieces and pages, have not been played with in forever, and are just taking up space. Now is the time to go through these items and downsize. The more toys and books you have the more the mess, the fewer toys and books you have, the easier the cleanup, and ideally the more they appreciate what they have (I know difficult in this generation but possible)
Make Three Piles
A- Broken/ missing pieces or pages Throw away pile
B- No longer in use or age-appropriate Giveaway pile
C-In use and fair condition Keep
Of the pile, you allocated for keeping, make two piles as you would do for seasonal clothing. In one pile put the toys and books you selected to be played with now and a second pile to be put away and rotated when you see they are getting bored or disinterested. When you rotate, the kids get a sense of excitement and nostalgia and are more excited to play with the toys. This technique has the added benefit of saving you money on buying new toys and books.

Organizing Tips
Monday Organizing Tip#
1.Take a picture of your space say, Brittany Vasseur, when you see it from the eye of the camera you get a much different view of the space and the clutter that is overwhelming it. This is a shocker to many as we have gotten used to our space and don't even notice the clutter.
2. Take a picture of your cupboards before you go shopping or make your shopping list. (Got this one from my bestie organizing client RK) You will be shocked at what you really have in there as compared to what you think you need).
Roll or Fold

Should you Roll it or Fold your laundry?
What is the best method of storing your clothing? Is it rolling or folding? I have put together for you the pros and cons so you can choose the method that suits you best.
Rolling/ Or tight fold:
-Preferred method in shallow drawers.
-Rolling your clothing can save you a lot of space in your drawers.
-It allows you to find items easily.
-Make sure you roll the item with the design facing up for easy recognition.
-It is a space saver for packing.
-It helps little fingers while trying to be independent in picking out their own articles of clothing.
- It can cause extra wrinkles in delicate items. Make sure to roll out the creases as you go
- Best for t-shirts, undergarments, and hand towels.
Folding:
-Preferred method in closets that have shelves.
-Better for easily creased items.
-Make sure you fold on the crease.
-If you double fold you will get extra creases.
The trick is to upkeep. Whichever method you choose you will have to straighten up periodically. When you do, what you see when you open those closets and drawers will make it all worth while.
The Best Lighting for Your Succah
Naomi Margolin
Lighting Architecture
A magical holiday where the family gathers together in their glowing succah.
Each individual succah has its own unique planning, building, and decore.
One of the most crucial yet overlooked elements that go into succah planning is the lighting.
What kind of lighting is suitable for the succah?
All lighting must be waterproof with a minimum of IP44 or higher.
Led profiles lights can be cut to order in the store. They are available in several sizes and light colors: 2700K (warm light) - 6000K (white light.)
Ground lighting elements
Create an unexpected effect.
They are IP 64 - 67 waterproof and also come with solar panels to charge their battery by the sun during the day and shine through the night.
Multi-purpose fans with lights and waterproof light chains,
Lights installed at the bottom of railings,
Small chain bulb lights that can be hung in corners,
